7. A Child is Born (एक बच्चे का जन्म)
‘A Child is Born’ is an extract from her book ‘Sex and Destiny: The Politics of Human Fertility’ by Germaine Greer. It explores the cultural peculiarities of the East and the West regarding child-birth relationship.
‘एक बच्चे का जन्म’ एक उध्दरण है जिसे जर्मेन ग्रीर की पुस्तक सेक्स एण्ड डेस्टीनी: पॉलटिक्स ऑफ ह्युमन फरटीलिटी से लिया गया है। यह पूर्व और पश्चिम के देशों में बच्चों के जन्म संबंधी सांस्कृतिक विशेषताओं के बारे में व्याख्या करता है।
In Bangladesh children under the age of five or six are looked after by the whole family. In joint family they are looked after together.
बांग्लादेश में पाँच या उससे अधिक उर्म के बच्चों का देखभाल पूरे परिवार के द्वारा की जाती है। संयुक्त परिवार में वे लोग एक साथ देखभाल करते हैं।
